Pre-Alpha testing lasted from 2-24-20 through 5-31-20.
I now have a functional forum that runs the ProBoards 6 software. I did not make any changes and it reflects how the forum will look "out of the box."
We will not lose any boards, members, or posts. I just didn't feel that it was necessary to recreate the entire forum. You don't have to register. You can test out posting as a guest, and see where the new menu is located. I still was not given a date on an official release/upgrade for this forum. After the software is released, I will have 18 months to recode everything that doesn't carry over.
Tell me what you like. Tell me what you hate. Is it too modern? Do you want version 6 to have rounded edges and circular avatars? Is the info center at the bottom nice or hideous? It will show a pile of avatars at the bottom rather than a list of names. I don't like that. I can change the appearance of everything though.
The only issue is that the forum shop might not carry over the way we want. Someone else coded the shop and it is up to him as to if/how he recodes over 100,000 lines.
The beta forum does have ads. When we upgrade, you will continue to have an ad-free experience.
