What's the story behind the fundraiser raid train today? Oh! Aza, and I joined so many others for a GoFundMe for a Twitch musician who's Father is going through medical issues. Even though they're in a country that covers medical expenses, there are so many other expenses that are not (medical equipment, home care, etc). That was the focus. She is such a gem, and a loving person to us, and her community. Money was raised, fun was had, and there were tears. It shows that there are good times -- even in difficult times. . . |

What are your 3 biggest passions in life? 1) Self-love 2) Charity 3) BBQ  The first is laying the foundation for myself. If that foundation isn't laid firmly, I can't give to others. The second is what I choose to do with myself when I can give. The four top charities that I give to are (in order) -- St. Jude's -- GoFundMe for frens -- Suicide Prevention in America -- Lucky Dog (Which is a charity that takes puppies, and kitties from kill-shelters, and gets them adopted in the Washington, DC (USA) area. Lastly. . . For me. I love American BBQ. Because, I'm a "food'ie". <3 |

I am a natural introvert. So, I streamed four days in a row, and I had to disconnect for a few days. Self-care is the best care. Because. . . I still have to make a paycheck. We all give what we can. And, now that I say that; I know what my next song is going to be on Aza's stream. . . <3 |

Favorite place to travel to and why? My favorite place(s) to travel is anyplace I used to call "home". Not just places I lived, but places I felt at home. My (long gone) grandparent's home, where I grew up in so many places. Each of them evoke a sense of nostalgia, and is so evocative of so many memories. "I used to climb that tree. It was so big when I was young, but now that I'm older, it's not so big!". An obtuse example? During the pandemic lock-down, I was a work from home lackey. I couldn't visit anywhere. I was going days -- if not weeks -- of not going anywhere. Since I was forced to be at home, I had to adjust my hobbies. So, I downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator. I could virtually go anywhere in the world! So, I loaded into the game. It asked me where I wanted to go. As I looked at the screen to figure out where to go -- the answer came so clearly: I wanted to go home. Like so many people during this time, I was lonely, and home seemed the right place to go. So, I loaded into a plane, and charted a course to home. I flew the plane, and circled my home town, then landed in front of my house. It was poignant in many ways, but it did make me feel better. If for just . . . A moment. Thankfully, I now live in a place where I loved to visit, Washington DC. Now, I am just a bike ride from my favorite places. And, that makes me very happy.  |
