WOW. This was an amazing evening, and there was barely a hitch or blip with the show, sound-wise! Because you really have to know what you're doing in order to stream a live show. The guy who did this must really know his stuff, which can't be said with NEDS with all the shows they've done. Headliner Hexpartner was AMAZING. She has a lovely, operatic voice, which would be amazing enough, but she also plays violin and keyboards? Really astounding. You can just listen to one track here to see what I mean. Unfortunately I should've gotten the entire schedule down since the person who posted about it screwed it up when he edited it and I don't know who comes next for tomorrow and Sunday...and WHEN as well  Think it starts at 2 p. m. Central Time tomorrow. I don't know if any of these shows will be streamed, but I think that it's pretty damn cool that Mortiis, the guy who invented dungeon synth, is not only touring now as he plays his first album in its entirety for the first time in decades, but he's *also* touring with Malfet and Sombre Arcane, two modern day dungeon synth legends who have played many shows that we've seen streamed (Malfet just played on the last NEDS show last month as you can see with the above post). Usually these are exclusively for members of his Cult of Thee Black Wizards (where you pay a monthly fee for all kinds of stuff you can't get at his Bandcamp account) but anyone can watch this one. Could be another Twitch page to check out  I got an alert from something called "greatlakesdungeonsiege" just now but as soon as I got on they went offline (?). Supposedly Jawn Faruun, Elminister, Sorrowmoon and Sewer Ritual will be playing, all of which we've seen before except for the last one. Their last stream seems to have been on May 4. Actually a few people are in chat but I don't know how much of this I'll actually see. I didn't get enough sleep last night and I need to crash for a long nap, which has been eluding me. That'd suck to miss out though but I'll see what I can do, although with them having one video I assume they'll put this one up too once the show's over (if it starts? Why'd I get contacted for this anyway? Did I get my name sold around?). ANOTHER EDIT: they say they're having connection issues (the usual story). |

^Yeah, Elminister's sounding good again at the moment, plus I went to hear Sorrowmoon once more. Just listening for a few right now. It's just that when I tuned in, Jawn Faruun was playing, which, if I recall, I didn't like him that much the first time around (although he could've improved) + not enough sleep last night + the chore of taking notes + not enough sleep for almost two entire months now = I don't really feel into this, for once.

Finally, a new show! It was *looking* like dungeon synth artist Mahr G'Didj was doing a Southeast Dungeon Scourge show once a year but he skipped last year's, having not been online much then. However, not only is there one for next month, if anyone can actually attend it it will be at a physical venue this year for the first time yet. It will be on September 21 at Neptunes Parlour in Raleigh, North Carolina. It will be streamed on their Twitch tv channel. Performers include: *Seregost *Vaelastrasz *Foglord *Excellent Strategy Manuals Inc. (who played at his last one) *Spife *Raccoon Fink *Silk Moth Spife is the only new one to me. |
