All those topics seem to be covered in current boards. I agree to nominate it for BOTM and see how it goes in a test run. I'll vote for it. I imagine it's a lot of work to add a board on an established forum. I could be wrong.

Instead of Business & Finance, which sounds like it overlaps other boards too much, just name it Money and have it be devoted to talking about Money.

I think it's remarkable how our current boards are so close in post count. I believe this speaks to the time and effort spent into deciding each board's primary topic for discussion. The biggest argument, for me, to split a topic out (business and finance) would be that a plethora of posts for that topic end up bloating an existing board. I don't subscribe that any one of our boards is inflated in this manner. The main one that comes close is Random Ramblings because it's specifically for posts that "do not fit within another category or board". I don't believe that the majority of "business and finance" posts reside in Random Ramblings, however. I think it would be a fine botm topic if folks want to give it a test run but in general it just seems like a hot topic right now. |

At first glance I like the idea, but after giving it more thought I think it’s redundant. Most(all?) business related topics can fit either in the life board or the world report.
Finances is similar. Game stops short squeeze, in my mind, belongs in world report, possibly the life board if someone was apart or it and speaking on their experiences in relationship to it.
I follow a few finance forums personally, so it’s definitely something that’s interesting to me. However, this is a general chat forum and I’ve never felt unable to talk about any particular topic within the boards already in existence.
And, I don’t think any pros could outweigh the cons of Christina having that much extra work on her hands.
Edited to add: I think having it as BOTM however is a wonderful idea.
