Got my first ticket the other day on the way to Florida ~ the dumb part? I got it before I even left the state, lol.
However, that's a good thing.
Does anyone know the procedure I should go about to try to get driving school? I can either pay the ticket early (which then goes on my record) or go to court. To try to get driving school do I go to court? Or try to arrange something earlier?
The ticket was for 69 in a 55, but he said he clocked me at 79, but that was only because I hit the brakes when i saw him... the actual was about 15mph higher : )

Is it on radar? you cant fight a radar ticket.. there's no point in trying to. there should be a # on the ticket so you can schedule a date in the city where you got the ticket to go to court. you call, tell them your sh*t, and schedule a date for a hearing. when you go, they just read the papers they have, no point inlistening to you say "yeah I was speeding".. you tell them your decision, and that's it

my 24th time being pulled over, i received my first ticket. It was for going 24 miles over the limit, (after i hit my brake of course). I am still waiting to pay for this ticket, 260 dollars!! cursed state patrol.

There should be a court date on your ticket; you can either go on that date and request driving school then or you can write them a letter requesting it, although I'd make sure and read all the stuff on the back of the ticket or call them first to see what their procedure is before doing anything. Oh yeah: the court has to grant you driving school before you can take it. So yeah, don't do that first. |

^yeah you cant just go to the school on your own will. You have to be offered and granted it

you know whats rad about having a cop for a dad?
everyone knows him, so when i get pulled over, people think its a fake liscence, or get scared and go about their business.
