Some of this might not translate well--or at all--over the internet, but go ahead and try.
Funny stuff Tom, my mom's cat, has done:
*Probably THE funniest thing ever was when he wanted to see what was in a kitchen cabinet. He was going through the typical cat "concentrating on a jump" motions (you cat owners know what I mean) when I closed the door...then he proceeded to climb up my leg using his claws to the point where he got up to my waist, then I closed the door. Damnest thing, too, was that he never scratched me a single time, which was amazing.
*For some reason in the last hour, he dug and dug and dug a shirt out from a hidey-space in here, then proceeded NOT to go into the hidey-space, and he's not even totally lying on the shirt, either (so what was the point?).
*When mom is about to take the dog for a walk, has the leash attached, and has to stop to tie her shoe or something, the cat will pounce on the other end of the leash (the one not attached to the dog), for some reason.
*Various typical cat stuff that's funny, like swatting after a leaf or a twig, "boxing" the mirror or attacking his scratching post (a couple of these examples were already put up for video downloads elsewhere).
*Tom isn't much of a tree-climber, for some reason, yet, at times (usually during the winter), he'll suddenly scamper across the yard and then up only the first couple of feet of a tree...then stop for a few seconds, like 'what now?', before dropping back down to the ground...then running across the yard for another tree. (Cats are weird.)
I'll probably think of others later, along with going with past pets' behavior.
Cats also seem to like having roofs over their head, like when they sit underneath a chair, car, shrubbery, or, once when we get a dry spell, in a ditch (which Tom only does during the summer, since it's too cold during the winter to sit in a shadowed ditch without any warming sunlight).
This spot is MINE for the next hour or two, ok?
