Heh, actually, you're kind of close: when I was a movie critic for a local sci-fi organization, I taped a bunch of sci-fi movies that came on tv that summer (most of them turned out to be pretty bad), and made fun of them, years before I heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (and I made fun of them in that style [or not ] too). I had fun doing reviews.
