Martin was reading some signs in the audience when he backed up, unknowingly, into a trap door, falling into the awaiting arms of a crew member.

"That's, uh, not planned," Martin told the gasping crowd, before addressing his savior, "Thank you for catching me."

He added, "Holy s---, that was nearly a YouTube moment." Though maybe not a YouTube moment, video of the fall was captured by a fan and posted to X (formerly Twitter).
