Inspiration behind the song? A memory of walking on the boardwalk in a different part of my life when I was homeless and found the beauty in just being free to do as I please, despite the lack of control I felt or material possessions I didn't have. Understanding and believing that everything happens for a reason and everyone has purpose. Whether or not you see the purpose, you have to find it in yourself to come out of the encasement we all create for ourselves of comfortability, trading the essence of what life means for a self induced misery in our comfort. I was happier then, looking back and I see that as a lesson to be had. For the moments of uncertainty were terrifying but it can inspire hope and grace to a future self. Never give up on yourself. |
