Not sure whay happened this morning. The mobile version of the forum is showing half-screen ads at the bottom of every page. When I rry to create or reply, the keyboard takes up the other half of the screen and it's almost impossible to use the page now.
Some pages have TWO of them and it's literally impossible to do anything.

The only time ad-free is disabled is if Christina needs to make hundreds of clicks within a short period of time and it's normally put back to normal in 15 mins.

Yikes, they shouldn't be that big on mobile, but also this forum has no ads unless Christina is doing a quick update. If that was the case, ads shoulda only been around for 10 mins.

If you have a screenshot, bigballofyarn can report an intrusive ad on mobile. BUT, like others said, we pay for ad removal. I didn't see ads, but it's possible Christina did a quick update earlier. |

Ad-free was in fact disabled for 15 minutes as I updated a plugin and made a lot of clicks. We do pay to remove ads, but only have a certain amount of clicks per month, which is why only logged in members can benefit from ad-free viewing at the moment. I can report intrusive ads, but I do need a picture of the ad. I would also need to know what browser you are using. If you happen to be online during a future update and temporarily see ads, or if you see an intrusive ad as a guest, feel free to PM any private information to me directly. ProBoards also wants your IP address, ISP, and the thread where you saw the ad.

The ads used to be so much fun that we made games out of them and they weren't invasive decades ago. I miss that.

Ad-free might also be disabled sometimes if a refresh abuser is online lol

Robles, Yes. There were or are 1-2 people who think this forum is like an app and generate hundreds of clicks by refreshing just to see if they got a reply. Don't do that. Every single view costs money.
