bigballofyarn, I am very glad this charity won the vote. It means a lot to me since my husband's leukemia is in remission at this time. We have volunteered and/or participated in events to raise funds for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in the past. The biggest one in the Seattle area is the Big Climb in March, where participants hike up 69 floors of a skyscraper. I volunteer - my husband has done the climb. Survivors are provided 'Survivor' shirts, which is really awesome to see. It's quite the event!
