will it hide the username from view?
I'm just wondering. someone's name on here is quite triggering and I'd like to know if I can hide it

You can't hide people completely. You can hide posts
No one's name breaks any rules though. Feel free to PM XEA989 with the name in question.

When you click block, you pick what you want to block

Blocking on a forum is different from social media.
You select what you want to block.
You will still see quoted messages
