In late 2015, Spanish police were investigating a brother and sister when they discovered a third sibling who had been kept in a dovecote since 1996 with nothing but a bucket for a toilet. The man was freed. The man’s brother, 76, and sister, 61, were arrested on suspicion of unlawful detention and abuse.  |
