How to enable signatures in your ProBoards profile.

Greetings Ladies and Gents, I have noticed that a lot of members have not yet enabled signatures, Avatars or smiles in the ProBoards Profile.

If you don't see my signature, maybe it's turned off.

The top menu bar
Home - Help - Search - Members - My Profile - Messages - Shop

Click My Profile half way down the page click Edit Profile on the right hand side,

Avatar - Personal - Social - Settings - Privacy - Notifications - Badges

Click Settings

Forum Preferences

Show Participated
Displays the participated button next to the navigation tree.
Yes No X

Show Signatures
Displays member signatures with their posts.
Yes X No

Show Avatars
Displays member avatars.
Yes X No

Forum Theme
Displays the available theme of your choice.
Original Light Blue

Enable Drafts
Saves your posts periodically during creation.
Yes X No

Posting Default
Sets what editor you default to when creating posts.
Preview BBCode

Default BBCode X

Smiles Default [Controls the visibility of smiles across the forum and in your own posts. Your own posts made while this setting is set to disabled will have no smiles visible to you or anyone else.]
Sets whether applicable plain text displays as smiles.
Enabled X Disabled

Dates and Times
Sets how you would prefer to see timestamps.
Day Month Year 24 Hour

I have used "X" after the word for example "Enabled X Disabled" = Enabled ticked
goto bottom of the page and click {Save Account Settings}, then reload current page in your web browser.

How to enable signatures in your ProBoards profile.

Note I am the original creator which was made for Rock Tumbling Hobby Forums, it works on all ProBoards forums.

People who don't have signature don't want them.

You wouldn't have access to that information. It's in each person's individual profile.

Signatures are enabled by default with proboards. When you don't see a signature in someone's post, it's because they didn't set up a signature. It doesn't mean it's disabled in their profile. I still see everyone else's signatures.

Signatures are enabled by default in all profiles.
If you don't see one in a profile, it's becaue the person didn't set one. We still see everyone else's.

You do not have access to this information. Only each individual would have access to what they have enabled. When you don't see a signature, it's because we didn't write one or don't want one.

The option shows up when you create your account. I put a quote there and never checked it again.

I made my signature circa 2004 and left it that way. But I don't look at people's signatures.

Never made a signature. Don't want one. Signatures are enabled for all members by default. I don't look at them.

Signatures are enabled by default on ProBoards. Someone would have to manually disable them.

To confirm what people wrote above, people who don't have signatures in their profiles didn't set one and/or don't want one. Their privacy settings are only accessible to them. Signatures are enabled on ProBoards by default. Unless they changed their settings, they can still see other people's signatures. They likely did not change this option. Most people don't. So, even if they don't have a signature in their profile, they can still see signatures in other people's profiles. These options have nothing to do with each other.

Proboards queen. 20 years gives you a lot of knowledge.

I don't have one. I don't want one. I see all signatures in other profiles.
