glowworm, I have screenshots I took throughout the years. I don't have a screenshot from January 18, 2003. However, I did proceed to not really use the forum for a few months after creating it. The screenshot I posted is pretty close to how the forum looked immediately after its creation.

So awesome. I also appreciate the old school internet connection of a good forum community. I have other social media and use it but it does not bring me the same joy that sitting down at my laptop and scrolling the forum or thinking up something I think will make a good forum post gives me! So cool all the things that have changed and evolved and still exist today for this forum. Congrats bigballofyarn, because that must be a great feeling!! I love that there are so many things good about this forum and it's funny that it's become such a mishmash of members with so many different backgrounds, views, etc that can come together and share with one another, care about one another and, as you said, affect one another outside of the internet even...to leave an indelible print on the lives of others that we may or may not meet/see in real life. I was so happy when I found this forum and felt like the magic of an active forum with caring and kind members that created a good community still existed. Thanks for creating it and thanks all of you reading this for being a part of it! |
