I hope this will help answer any questions you may have regarding the PM you received today. I'm sorry if anyone felt that the PM was invasive. We've had this forum for free for 18 years, and it's sad that the company is struggling. No one was singled out with the message. You're not obligated to pay for anything. The PM was simply a donation request and not a demand or a bill.
COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted our company revenue. There has been a major downturn in online advertising. In addition, the drastic increase in ad-blocker usage has impacted our income significantly. Our forums are not going anywhere. We are not shutting down, nor does this have any direct impact to any of our users, but it does affect our day-to-day operations for our team members. We have been approached by many users who expressed their desire to help contribute to ProBoards.
