How would you handle a situation where you know someone is seeing "spirits", hearing voices, and thinks 2 people in their family tried to kill them? Further, their delusions are so severe that they convinced their mom that all these things happened.

This person goes for checkups but is firmly against any type of mental health. She says, "There's nothing wrong with me. They need the help."

For privacy, I don't want to mention the relationship, but the mother thinks it's them two against the world.

They have lost almost every friend and relative, but they blame it on others in the family. They don't understand that it's their delusions that are driving others away.

Ugh this is such a bad situation. It sounds like they both would benefit from a psych visit, but it won't work if they don't want to go.

There's something similar going on here. We've all been trying to cope for 10 years, but we're sick of being treated like the enemy. We're not sure what to do either.

Everyone deemed "evil" by the people who are mentally ill has seen a priest or a doctor to vent. The few who find themselves holy and above all are the same as your family. They don't want help because "they don't need it."

I don't just want to vent though. I want family life to get better. They need to get better. I don't think I can help them. And sending the cops there won't help unless the cops think they are in immediate physical danger.
