Yeah it does not work for me, I don't see a quick reply option so I went desktop site but there was no smilies dropdown. I see you are on the phone. It does work on the computer when java script fully loads. You can also get the blue faces if you type them manually. : and ) together =
But you might not see the novelty faces. Sorry!

I think I could offer specific advice rather than genersl and as we all know there are constants and variants in this condition. I'm no expert, just somebody who lives with it. There is the famous Hans Asperger quote where he says the best person to know about Aspergers Syndrome is the person who has it. He was an Austrian I believe. Just hearing on the radio that lockdown measures are relaxing there with garden centres, DIY stores and small shops can open but with strict rules on social distancing. Did it affect you more as a child or adult?

Did it affect you more as a child or adult? It's difficult to say and all I really know is that I was a difficult child who presented challenging problems, given reports I can remember and have seen. And its why I think my Mum did a fantastic job raising me mostly on her own until age 12 when I went to special needs schools. Add to that I was mostly non verbal until age 5 and am totally different now, very chatty. And cheeky! That is down I think to good support throughout my adult years since leaving school. I wasn't diagnosed until 1997 and I think Aspergers was first officially a condition in 1994. So back in the 1970s while autism was heard of, it was more difficult to specifically diagnose something like this and people might agree it wouldn't be good to have a misplaced diagnosis. I hope this goes some way to answering your question.

That's OK. I'm sure they'll talk when they are ready. It could be a lot for the parents if they don't know what to expect.

I understand that, but they told me of the diagnosis, and now won't tell me more. So I don't know what to think or how anyone is doing.
