^Jail isn't really safer. There are drugs in jail. But jail CAN humble some people. It doesn't always, but when it does, it feels like you have your friend back fr a moment.

Yes. The letters I used to live off the letters I received from this friend. They were loving and thoughtful. Then when he got out of prison every time, he turned back to his street friends and I wasn't "cool enough" anymore.

My addiction has always been food, which could be just as addictive as wine or cigarettes. =/ Food definitely counts. It doesn't have to be an illicit substance. |

Just wanted to rant in here a bit. I really miss a former friend. I mean I would think that we are still friends, but he just doesn't answer his phone or keep in touch anymore. I really hope he isn't using again because it would break my heart.

He does that every time he's in the free world. He cuts ties with half the people who kept him afloat while he was in prison.
