Whenever I get too close to someone, I walk away. I hide. I break hearts, and I'm used to being on the run, never in one place for too long. That's my problem.

I hate to be the one who says it first, but I hate that about some guys. You need to hear this though. Do you have any idea how much it hurts your friends and girlfriends when you do this? Why do you do this?

I don't know if there's a profound WHY, but I can probably find reasons.
Spent my entire life in and out of group homes. Dad died before I was 19. Mom was never there for me. Step-dad always hated me. Didn't finish school. Learned from young to trust no one.

So you've been acting this way for over 20 years and you don't see any way of stopping?
Not trying to sound like a jerk. Just trying to ask you questions from the PoV of someone who's dealt with and been hurt by a guy like this before.

I do care. I'm not void of all emotions. It's just easier to walk away and I don't know anything else. I've only had one positive relationship, but she's with another man now.

No. It was a different time. We were teens and wanted to get married. I got in trouble and we lost touch. There were no phones and social media until she tracked me down 15 years later.

No, but even with extreme love, we were fire and water. Love was the most passionate ever, but fights were the most explosive ever.
