I still believe things should be fair in my life. One of my parents has been brainwashed and I've been treated like sh*t far too long. I need to forgive, but I also want the brainwashing to stop affecting the family.

Also shoot for acceptance. Sometimes people just don't change. I know you know that, but sometimes you need to hear it from someone else.

Yes. I do. That's what makes it so hard to accept. It's hard to accept that some people will be sh*tty even when you do everything right to them.
