Ever wonder how parents or the elderly fall for click bait for fake phone calls all the time? It's like these scam creators know exactly what to do to target our parents. I had to cry in front of my dad before he realized I was telling him the truth and that "Google" wasn't making a house call.

Yes and it's not just an American crisis. Maybe we're less prone because we've grown up with the internet. But I don't know why they believe those phone calls.

Same and then the stubborn ones won't admit they were scammed. After you unravel the whole plot, they don't want to believe it happened to them.

Truth. You'd think they'd be less trusting and more wise with experience. But I don't know why they fall for the phone and web scams so easily.

It's interesting because we don't click on ads or answer calls that are most likely real.
My parents will click on and answer all the bad ones.

I know the feeling. I think my dad made a few Nigerian princes really rich recently.

I'm still not over it. It was more the fact that a strange creeper had my # that bothered me.

These scammers are too good at what they do when it comes to the older generation. And no, I don't know how to stop it. My parents don't listen.

Only my mom is a little keen on this type of thing. My dad just started using the internet a year ago. He also thinks that all those free amazon gift card texts are real.
