Has anyone figured out the secret to snap scores? Some people have 291. Others are over 12,000!! Do the scores even get you anything?

It's just how much you add to your story and how many direct snaps you send. It goes up from that.

I don't think you GET anything from a higher score. Your filters only change based on date or location.

AFAIK, the score is to make you look "cool" like a follower count on Twitter.

The more snaps you send, the higher the score goes. That's as simple as it seems to be. I don't think you get any perks from a higher score other than more stalkers.

Does SnapChat even have a business or networking type purpose? Is it just for selfies?

^Instagram has more of a business/professional purpose. No one takes SnapChat seriously. I'd never use it to promote a business. The pictures expire in 24 hours anyway. There's never any "content" that stays anywhere.

True. I never really used it more than to test it out. It seems to be a weird way of sending an MMS. I don't know why people don't just send the picture text to begin with.

Snapchat has all those animal and makeup filters. And the kids using the app think they can send the raunchy pics without risk. They don't understand the concept of a screenshot, or that the "young" person they met might be a pervy adult.

I have a SnapChat only because it's how I interact with a handful of internet friends. We don't share pics. We just message each other. My Insta is too personal, and my SnapChat has nothing on it. It was the only way to send these folks an occasional hello that didn't connect them to my real life.

^It makes me wonder why you talk to them at all. *shrugs*

SnapChat scores increase the more you spam people your pictures. It's not really a platform for creating content people care about long-term.

I hate snapchat... Seems so pointless. If you want to send me something, send it permanently and don't give me 3 seconds to look at it
