TLDR version of events is I came back in touch with an old friend. We were kind of making plans for the 4th about seeing fireworks together. Only, she lived 200 miles away (same state). I got up the courage to want to surprised her. We were texting about how great it would be to watch them together. We were texting every day for months. I never told her of my plans. I was just going to pop in at her firework event. So, the morning of the 4th was the last time I heard from her. I did end up in the neighboring town, but I never heard from her again. She just STOPPED talking.
