I don't think it's that common a fear, but I am scared of birds, especially when they are inside.

I don't mind seeing them as caged pets. It's creepy when they get into malls and are flying around.

I've always wanted to pet a goose, but they're pretty vile animals when scared.

Ornithophobia is the fear of birds. On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being extreme, how would you rate your fear? I guess a 6.5-7. |

I think someone else on here has the same fear, but I don't remember who. admitted publicly to the forum that he was scared of birds. On occasion, some have found their way inside one of our local malls, and tend to lounge in the food court. To say he was less than thrilled would be an extreme understatement. I don't think he even likes seeing them outside. |

Just googled animal phobias and the top ten are: 1. Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) 2. Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) 3. Spheksophobia (fear of wasps) 4. Cynophobia (fear of dogs) 5. Muriphobia (fear of mice) 6. Apiophobia (fear of bees) 7. Ichthyophobia (fear of fish) 8. Ornithophobia (fear of birds) 9. Entomophobia (fear of insects) 10. Ailurophobia (fear of cats) See, I'm not "scared" of bugs, but they are just creepy. I don't want them in my house. So, I don't think that really counts as a fear. Right? |
