This is one of the best threads on this forum ever. Too many people do not understand this and it drives me insane. There is constant victim blaming and it’s sick. I think there are sometimes people you can blame but it should only be people who are being intentionally vicious. Like serial killers, for example. It’s always the serial killers fault that someone got murdered and not the victim. It doesn’t matter where a victim was or what lies they believed or whatever. It’s 0% the victim’s fault. And there are a ton of things that are no one’s fault. Like if a hurricane happens, that’s just life. No one could stop it. It just happened and loss from that is no one’s fault. But people are always blaming victims of things like that saying they’re being punished by god or that they should live in places without hurricanes. It is disturbing. I think you're so right. I have to stop thinking that I have to hide how I Feel all the time. Especially in therapy. A good therapist will be able to help you through it when something she says to you upsets you. That’s the point of therapy.

This is great. I think it's also good to know you don't have to blame yourself for everything. Some people are just asshole for no reason.

If I keep telling myself this, I could really improve my mood.
