Do you think IQ matters anymore? It's rarely something we even measure unless we take our own test online?
I guess it only matters to me when I say I'd want someone of equal intelligence to make communication easy.

No, their actual # doesn't matter. Intelligence is more than math, vocabulary, and answering test questions.

Their IQ matters as much to me as their SAT scores. I have no idea what any of my friends or SOs scored on their SATs. It was never a topic of conversation. |

I do want to connect to a personal intellectually, but we don't need a test on verbal and math skills to tell me that.

I don't know why so much emphasis went into this when we were kids and when our parents were kids. What did they ever use those intelligence scores for?

^IIRC, if you scored highly enough, you were forced into a special school for gifted kids.

I do want to connect to people emotionally, spiritually, and psychology, but whether their IQ is 100 or 145 doesn't matter.

IQ tests are a great way to measure one's ability to take IQ tests.
