What would you tell someone who is used to being a hermit and a computer nerd? It's actually hard to socialize IRL when you get used to your phone and the internet?

Remember the days of school?
"HI LET'S BE FRIENDS"
"YOU ARE MY NEW BFF" "OK"

I think it's still pretty easy if you have a job or a church. You're practically forced to socialize.

It's gotten harder in a sense, but I don't see a problem when you just meet people at work.

I wouldn't approach an attractive stranger, but I have no problem with new people at work.

It depends heavily on the setting. I make most of my friends at work and it happens naturally there.

If we are talking "picking up" a date, I'm not smooth like that. But I find it easy to jump into conversations at social events, weddings, family functions, and the sort.

If you don't have the same problem, how about taking him with you somewhere you already enjoy and meeting people you already know?

Lately, I find it harder online. Remind him that people are often nicer in person.

Take him go. Go with him. Invite others. Do things you already enjoy.
