Everyone says you can't be friends with the opposite sex without feelings developing. I disagree. I have male friends. What do you think?

I don't think that's true. Gay/lesbian/trans people have friends of the same sex/gender and don't always develop feelings for them.

I think you can have friends of the same sexuality w/o ending up on a one-sided relationship.

My best friend is gay and I hold no feelings towards him even if he used to be straight.
I've also found out that females tend to hold more drama. :/

Making/keeping friends for me in genral are a pain enough. I'm a geek and only other gamers mostly understand my geeek talk. Through my life though I've had plently of issues with girls always trying to be sassy and or plain rude towards me. Do I hate all females? no. Would I give it a try to have a female best friend? yes. It's easier for me to speak with males, though most of them want some type of connection and or relationship. |

I’ve never heard that. However I only have two male friends that I would hang out with alone out of respect for my family. One I’ve known for 13 years and the other is also friends with my husband.

I've heard it throughout the years, and only have female friends to avoid weird things happening with men. |
