As my husband and I do every year, we rarely buy each other any real gifts. Stocking stuffers, a new blanket for the old dog, a new jolly ball for the pit. Years ago his office started buying for kids on the angel tree and as we were shopping we noticed that everybody buys for the kids, but nobody was buying for the senior tree. So we started going 2 weeks before Christmas, finding a tree, and buying gifts for every single one left.
Don’t forget the old people who may have just lost either spouse of 50 years and is alone. Who may have out lived their only child. Their siblings.
A new pair of socks and an AM radio with some graham crackers could put a smile on somebody’s face who has nothing.
