This might be epic win or epic fail. Gonna try to deep fry the bird.
Do you have any stories? tips?
I just ordered everything I needed to make this happen. i'll do one bird as is and another 1 bacon wrapped.

If you're cooking a turkey, and you're not smoking it, we can't be friends.

Close to your house as possible so you don't have to be out in the cold too long, oil needs to be basically to the top, make sure the turkey is still frozen and then dump it in pretty hard which allows some of the oil to escape.

And if I recall correctly, cooking it in the living room will keep it close enough that you can check on it while it cooks.

Are you supposed to do it frozen or thawed? Half the articles I see online are trolling.

I do it every 2 years for a neighbor. It is stupid easy.
Fill a pot with water about halfway, put your turkey in it, and make sure the water is not near the top and the turkey is covered. Adjust until you are happy. Remove the turkey and mark the water level on the side of the pot. This is how much oil you need.
Pat turkey dry, inject (I use a beer/hot sauce/butter combo), get oil to 375, slowly lower the turkey in, adjust so oil runs 350, and wait until it is done.

I have an electric Turkey deep fryer. Makes it easy and you can use it indoors. I just set it up in my garage. Cooks a Turkey in an hour or so.
