Both are 9. One is a friend's kid. I think they are both traumatized. I honestly think I'm going to be receiving a call from the friend tpday or tomorrow. The girls were literally crying, with tears, and screaming at the top of their lungs. I pretty much had to carry them all the way through. It was bad. Real bad. The terror in their faces is something I've never seen before.
They were all for it and were begging me to take them. Excited all week. I just didn't realize it would be this hard on them. Because to me haunted houses are a joke.
So now we're back at my house and the non relative spent the night last night but they are both sleeping with my parents because they are too scared to sleep in the kids room.
I just hope they are able to forget about this night.
What the **** should i do now?
It was not a real haunted house. Just one that gets set up with decorations and fake stuff.
The ones you pay to go through where they have actors in costumes.

I'd try to get them to watch some funny comedies for the rest of the weekend.

did the other kid's parents know you were going? didn't talk to her parents. It was all coordinated through my niece. "Can my friend spend the night? " -sure "Can you take us to the haunted house, we really want to go" -sounds good So her parents probably dont have a clue

Tell the parents that their daughter lied to you and said she had permission to go. Who are they gonna believe, you or their lying 9 year old daughter? LOL

I'd expect a phone call from an angry parent tomorrow and pray that that's the end of it. Just apologize.

Don’t worry about it.
The kids will probably forget all about it soon.
