Stay Strong Alex Update

Hey all! First of all I want to thank you all again for all of your generosity and donations to my friend Alex and his recovery.

I had the pleasure of attending a family BBQ on Friday thrown by Alex’s family, which was the first time I personally have seen Alex since his accident. I am happy to report Alex is doing very well. Aside from some minor ticks, his speaking and mobility are in great function. I didn’t speak to him much on the accident itself as I’m sure it is a sensitive subject for all, but his brother was saying he does get frustrated on occasion not understanding basic ideas or concepts. But it’s a miracle he even survived so seeing him do as well as he is is a wonderful thing to be able to report.

ontheroad most of them it seems. Short term memories are the only iffy thing. But I’m not 100% sure on this.

He had to relearn everything, yes. And he recognized me even though he hadn’t seen me in quite some time. He was actually the one who answered the door for us. Said my name instantly.

He seems to have a decent amount of it, but I think that was part of what his brother was saying was frustrating him. Sometimes someone will say something to him and he won’t really understand what they’re saying. He’s certainly not 100% and he does go to (forgive me I don’t remember exactly what it’s called) but some sort of physical therapy place for people who have had head injuries. But he has certainly made progress.
