My body is ready. My GPU is not. Doom is hilariously well optimized. If it's anything like the first game, you won't need a great system to run it well.

I imagine it'll be the same engine with maybe some extra something here and there to church it up that will be optional for older systems. Can't imagine they'd invest the money in a new engine before the consoles go to the next hardware cycle.
