One time I tried to cause a guy to break up with his GF. He was emotionally cheating on her with me. I caused turmoil in their relationship. He emotionally cheated with other women. What ended up happening is him telling me off ONLINE of all places, and he stayed living with his girlfriend at the time. I'm writing this as a confession. Not saying the guy was a jerk for playing all the woman, but that I was a jerk for trying to break them up for selfish reasons.

Love and jealousy make us do crazy things, but this is what happens in those situations. The guy goes back home to the wife or the GF. The "mistresses" don't matter.

I have acted really jealously, but never tried to split up any other girlfeiends, and actually, have completely changed my outlook towards his dating about a year ago. I accepted it.

Sounds to me like you've matured, and somehow accepted being a third wheel. Which I guess is good. Depends what you want from him.
