I just learned something shocking. I have friends who went to college, have degrees in early childhood development, and work in SCHOOLS as teachers and aides... They all make under $9/hr. I thought they were getting $15+ or were on salary.  |

It's true. When I was applying to daycares and child care centers as an aide, they were only offering $8.75.

It's interesting how you can get $20/hr to have an office job, but to take care of people's kids, is less than half.

This is why the kids end up abused. The workers can't deal with sh*t and are underpaid. Then their behavior gets worse because of the pay. Sounds like a bad cycle.
