Too big of a goal? Winter too far in to start? Do I need to take a full days or series of classes? Or will a bunch of small sessions over the next 2 weeks be enough?

You want to do this outdoors and not indoors, right?

You spend the first few days on your ass alot. Learning to ski goes much quicker.

Are you physically fit?
You could probably get just enough info in 30 minutes to have a good time on the beginner slopes.

The beginner slopes after a few hours? I don't know why, but I feel like I can learn all this fast.

Just remember if you have to fall, fall forward. Same with ice skating.

Broke my collar bone my very first time.
Thought it'd be easy since I grew up skateboarding and surfing.
I didn't understand how to stop the proper way and down I went.

Some progress much quicker than others. Just know that you're going to spend some time on your ass and it's gonna take a little bit to get comfortable with your feet strapped in. If I were you, I'd catch a few youtube introduction videos before you go to get some additional pointers and things to keep in mind.

I think you're gonna need a heck of a lot more than one lesson.

Will you buy or rent equipment? I'd be too scared.
