Heading to Montreal, will be my first time in Canada. Not looking fo, things to do, but more overall trips on traveling - best way to exchange to Canadian play money, what should I do for cell phone/data, etc. And what should I SEE? This botm is all about the great outdoors? What do I go see besides Niagara?

Buy your booze at the duty free shop. Don't fall for the cold beer and wine fraud. Eat the poutine, once. Use your regular phone. It'll switch to Rogers Wireless. You've gotta see Niagara Falls from the Canada side. It's a must see.

I feel like of all of the places in the world to travel to, Canada requires the least amount of explanation.... if you are from the USA. I feel like you can just go there and explore.

What's the cold beer/wine fraud?
And I'd love to go see Niagara, but I'm only going for a weekend, and it's 7.5hrs away lol

- Booze is cheap in Montreal (compared to the rest of Canada) - Get Canadian money from your local bank before your go. - Should be able to get a Canadian roaming plan from your cell phone provider

People really are as nice as they say, be nice back Montreal/Quebec is the exception. Although the downtown area of Montreal is pretty anglophone so there shouldn't be a problem.

BTW DUI is a no go for here, they'll stop you at the border. And you can't enter.

Everything I have been told is DUI is an instant deny in Canada. Even though it is a misdemeanor in the US in Canada it is their version of a felony.

Niagara. Take pics. Don't even bother if you have drug/drinking offenses.
