So, a woman recently told me about something she did... she would take all of their stuff and either burn it or throw it away. She's hold it, look at it, touch it all one last time, and then get rid of it all for her own sense of closure. She didn't want to even hold onto the memories. I'm starting to think that might be a good idea. Why am I holding onto items from the ex boyfriends? I don't need their shirts or other things in my house anymore, right?

It's actually smart to give things away, donate, sell, throw out. Depends what they are though. I'd keep the diamond rings.

I guess if you end on bad terms, or if he screws you over, then why would you want to keep any of it anyway?

I think it's funny that she calls it a "funeral," but I guess it is the death of a part of your life. If it helps you move on, then do it!!

Do you guys think I'm crazy for wanting to keep the stuff?

Do you guys think I'm crazy for wanting to keep the stuff? Why do you want to keep things that will remind you of people who treated you badly?

I know you're all right. She's right too. But burning their stuff seems to juvinile.

Calling it a "funeral" is actually kinda funny. I wouldn't save their clothing. Maybe gifts if they were nice or valuable or won't make you cry. Move on. It will give you closure to get rid of their things.

Definitely don't keep their stuff and don't keep them on the mind. They aren't work remembering if things ended badly.
