Anyone hear of this? Not just tidying up your house. Apparently this is a thing. People literally selling everything they own and keeping only the barest essentials that are used on a daily basis. Many people do it so they can travel full time. It's like minimalist living, only worse.
I'm thinking about doing this for the next few months.

We've been kinda doing this for the last few weeks. Selling stuff on CL, tossing things away. It's been beneficial (for us)

I tried to watch that documentary by those two twats that go around preaching minimalism, and 20 minutes into it I wanted to punch them both in their self-important faces. Literally nothing they had to say was interesting and they act like they've unlocked the ultimate mystery of the ****ing universe.

I hate the fad side of everything though. All of those documentaries.
It isn't about that though, it's about cutting free from being a miserable **** buying sh*t for little dopamine spikes.

If you think downsizing will bring you happiness then do it. Don't hesitate to do anything you can to bring joy to your life. Even if it's something small like this.

we started looking at houses again and then i started dreading moving so i stopped.
new plan is to clean house.. i have a basement & garage & attic full of bullsh*t that ive been collecting for ~20 years. ive cleaned off one shelf and have 2k sitting in paypal. feels good man.
progress has stalled because i got tired of dealing with ebay, need to get down there tonight and take more pics IMO
