Someone needs to research how became how we recognize a heart. That's not how our heart looks. This is a question that still baffles historians. Some say it could be representative of ivy leaves which are symbolic for fidelity. Some say it could resembling boobs, butts or the vulva. Other say it could come form the shape of silphium seeds pods or from early anatomical diescriptions of the heart. I've even heard it's supposed to represents two hearts in one union. Also no heart shaped food for me last night, but plenty of chocolate! |
