allafrica.com/stories/201609070284. A puppy called Snoekie couldn't keep her food down even if she wanted to. The Johannesburg SPCA thankfully located the problem and put the fur ball under the knife, even though her owners could not afford the surgery. It was the first time in 10 years that the organisation's hospital team had performed surgery for this condition. A team of theatre surgeons, nurses and orderlies performed the corrective surgery. "We were extremely proud of how well our team handled the theatre pressure as well as ensuring Snoekie was manually ventilated. There were many sighs of relief when little Snoekie began breathing on her own."
