Thinking of visiting friends in Dacula and Savannah. Can you make a trip out of it? Anything to do?

just found a round trip on JetBlue for $275. arrives on Saturday at like 10:30am and departs Tues at 8:30pm. seems like a perfect window.
any advice on places to stay? getting around? will i need to rent a car?

Always rent a car on vacation. Never use public transit in unknown places IMO.

once in the historical parts, you're okay to just walk around and eat+drink, chill by the river

Airport is in Port Wentworth about 30 min or so north of downtown.. Where are you staying? Check out Tybee which is ~30 mins south.. River street is fun et ..etc..

Stayed at the Mansion on Forsyth Park a few times. You can get rooms starting at 215 a night. They're great. The bathtubs are HUGE

They have a bus but rent a car. Try to get a combo deal with your ticket. Visit the islands. I'd suggest trying Paula Deen restaurant but don't if you'd want that or not |
