I had several videos on it (of me, of course), my trip to Israel, and several videos of me singing and several videos of me talking about games.
It feels liberating to know that the only internet presence I now have and will most likely ever have is here.
I don't know why, it just does. Maybe it's because I want my privacy.

Are you depressed? Thought you loved YT.

No. I just got sick of everything being put out there.

I mean, did you delete over privacy or lack of love?

You see, after a year and a half on YouTube, I only got like 200 views for each of my ten videos. And also, I feel that's it's kind of creepy that people from across the entire world will know what I look like and my thoughts on issues and will see videos and pictures of me. I only want people to see videos and pictures of me if I someday become a public figure. If I don't become a famous figure, than I want to stay as private and anonymous as possible.

Unfortunately Google still owns the content you say you deleted, so it's not gone.

Yeah but they can't republish it.

I deleted all of the videos first, and then I deleted the account. I don't care if Google still has the content, as long as they don't publish it. Which I don't think they will. As long as the average person who I don't even know won't be able to see my videos.

If you still have the direct links to the vids, they will all still work. You can'd delete from their server. The vids are still there.

You are probably fine until you run for public office; if you don't do that all good.
My only online presence is YouTube vids of my dog, I'm ok with that.

Yeah, you know they're not deleted, right?
I have a lot of respect for what you've done and your service, so I am not hating, at all. But, your behavior seems paranoid - if someone wants to find you and what you've posted, they will.

Wouldn't they eventually get purged if the account is never reactivated?

Are you guys sure the videos still exist? I think once you delete a video even if you go to the directly youtube link it says "Content removed by user."
I'm sure the content still exists somewhere in cyberspace, but does Google or Youtube seriously care about a handful of videos with a low amount of views? There are literally probably billions in existence..

Same with pics on Photobucket and FB. They are still there.
