IMO a bathing suit is as bad as underwear from goodwill. That's disgusting.

I don't agree with the dvds vhs and cds...even though they are illegal to buy/sell like that.
For a quarter, who cares if there's a minor flaw.

You don't buy tires in a garage sale because most of them have been in an accident. That's ridiculous. You don't buy them because most of them are BALD and will explode if you try to drive using them. If you want to make a tire swing, though, then buy them!
If you really need a computer, then test it out and I think it's okay to buy at a garage sale. You're not going to find a new computer that way (duh), so if you're buying it and then paying to upgrade it, you're stupid because that's not the point of a garage sale.
I've bought televisions at garage sales. See if the person will let you test it out first. If it works fine, then don't worry about it.
I bought so many VHS tapes in the past at garage sales. They are exaggerating. With DVDs and CDs you can LOOK at them and know they are damaged. LOL. So don't worry about that either.
Video games-the only games that do that are PC games, not console games and most of those games are new games which won't be found at a garage sale.
Also, I've had to buy used furniture. About half my furniture in my house is used. You don't buy it unless you are desperate. So yea, there might be spiders and bugs in it, but the people who buy it (like me) buy it because we don't have much other choice.
