not really. i would like to go to the concert at montgomery bell state park, but, it is at noon, and this is saturday, which is house cleaning day. i'll have to see whether i can swing it or not. i was thinking about having a picnic over there monday. |

Did you fight in any wars? sort of. i was in the phillipines, and sent out the planes that bombed north vietnam. i got combat pay for doing it, but, i didn't have anybody shooting at me |

YOu dont have to share anything that's personal. oh. i thought that i had already mentioned it. sorry. i don't mind sharing at all. on the 12th, i went to the doctor to get my prescriptions refilled. i decided that i should get a chest xray, since it had been a couple of years. the doctor didn't see anything wrong in the xray except the copd that's been there for years, but, the radiologist called him and said that, comparing the two xrays, there was a change. so, the doctor sent me for a cat scan. they were calling me two hours after i had the cat scan. i called monday morning, and was told i was to see the doctor at 3. he told me that i have a 4 centimeter mass in my lung that is probably cancer, but we'd have to have a biopsy to make sure. i went to the pulmonary doctor wednesday, and he said that we didn't need a biopsy. because of the way that the mass is shaped, it is 99+% that it is cancer. i go wednesday for a PET scan to see if it has spread. the pulmonary doctor doesn't think that it has. if it hasn't spread, i will have surgery and they will take out that part of my lung. four or five days in the hospital, and i'll be almost good as new the whole thing is, i'm lucky that i decided to get the xray. i have absolutely no symptoms of any kind, so the doctor would never have checked. had i waited until i have the physical in october, who knows how bad it may have become. that getting a hair up my ass to get the xray undoubtedly saved me a lot of problems |

This really is fortunate in a way because you found out info that you needed to know. it really is. had i not done it, i probably wouldn't have known it was there until october. that is only like five months, but, who knows how much more damage it could do in that five months |
