I just realized that the few I have won't work anymore. It took a while. I tuned them on and only had static. Then I realized that TVs won't work with converter boxes. Do we just throw them away?

Unless there's a hookup for a box and you sit wired in your room, yes you throw it away or sell it for parts.

Nothing to be done really. We had to throw out some old box TVs that didn't have any kind of hookup.

All you can do is connect the tuner wires to the converter box if you really wanted to.
