What do you carry for emergency preparedness on trips? Particularly on (international) flights?
I feel naked without my knife, but here's my current list : 1) Steel 28oz water bottle wrapped in paracord. 2) Fresnel lens (stays in my wallet all the time, not travel specific) 3) Fenix E12 flashlight - very tiny but bright with a single AA battery 4) A couple extra batteries 5) Generic medication - I have one small bottle that has an assortment of ibuprofen, diphenhydramine, calcium carbonate, ranitidine, and a few others. 6) Specialized medication - 1 epinephrine auto injector (with prescription) 7) Hand sanitizer - I never carry this anywhere except on long trips. 8) International AC plug adapter 9) Small screwdriver set (ink pen sized) 10) Small medkit that I put together and vacuum sealed including nitrile gloves, bandages, wound dressings, tourniquet, snack bar, and some other stuff I can't remember at the moment. I sealed it before my trip last year so I should probably open it back up, take stock, and reseal.
And then, of course, the standard travel items like camera, pen/paper, phone/charger, headphones, pocket translation dictionary, all travel itinerary info, cash/cards, maybe a small laptop. I've always carried my EeePc but I may not this year since I'm carrying my large camera.
