Does anyone store water? We have a few frozen bottles of water in the freezer in case of emergency or in case the freezer were to stop working. We figure it'll give us a bigger buffer time on any food going bad. It's really not enough water though to keep on hand for any big emergency. I haven't bought a water filtration yet, though I want one from here: www.directive21.com/product-category/berkey-water-filter-systems/Haven't decided on which one to get quite yet. Anyone store water? How much? In what ways? |

I've always had this weird thing about buying water when I could drink out of the tap, but I've been to some homes where I wouldn't drink the water out of the tap. I always feel bad when I go over to my in laws. They only drink bottled water and I drink like a fish. Their waters good though, they just insist we drink the bottles. |

I have a lot of bottled water stored in the house too - about 3 16 packs.

For us, it wasn't really about survival, it's about drinking a lot of bottled water. So I'd estimate 100 bottles.

I buy the 24 packs whenever they are on sale. Store brand is cheap. There's a ton in the house.

I think there was a pipe break once and we couldn't drink it.
