Do not take her meds unless you want a lawsuit.

She takes meds and I'm worried she's not even the real her because of big pharma. I'm thinking about emptying her medicine capsules and refilling with sugar so I can see what she's really like off meds before considering a serious relationship with her. Any suggestions? You're awful, and you dont deserve a mate.

Any suggestions? absolutely. if you can't handle the fact that she takes meds, leave her the hell alone. it is YOU, not her, that has a problem. you really do not want to find out what she's like without her meds. my ol' lady is manic bipolar, and in seventeen years, has only stabbed me once, but, she's attacked me many more times. she takes five heavy duty psych meds, and when she has them, she does pretty well. if you did something so abjectly stupid as messing up the chick's pills, YOU would be going to jail for anything that she did as a result. plus, of course, tampering with prescription medicine is a federal felony all by itself

You can't just stop meds like that cold turkey. exactly. there are several psych meds that will kill you if you just stop taking them

Why in the world would you possibly want to do that... If you were dating a girl that had a heart condition would you take her off her meds without her knowledge to know her heart was real and actualy worked? If the meds are aligning her brain chemistry, there is no difference. It's seriously slightly sickening that you would consider this a good idea or even remotely moral to do without someone's knowledge. Been with a bipolar girl as well, and I can attest to the same as the other men have said - when it's good, there is nothing better. When it's bad, there is nothing worse. Dating a bipolar girl normally results in a bipolar relationship as well. that's for sure. i've had a bipolar relationship for 17 years. her meds keep her pretty well balanced, but, even with the meds, there's no guarantee that today will be a good one it takes a special breed to deal with it, and obviously, our boy here doesn't qualify

Now now, he may not understand the condition. I think we gave him good advice.

Now now, he may not understand the condition. I think we gave him good advice. it's obvious that he knows nothing about the condition. of course, as someone else pointed out, would he take someone's heart medicine from them. his not understanding the condition is irrelevant. a simple google search would give him all the information that he needs. he want to take her meds so HE can see what happens. by definition, that is selfish
